INTO Report Shows Demand for USA Soaring

INTO University Partnerships  said that there have been 35,438 applications from international students for the forthcoming academic year intake at its partner institutions in the USA, an increase of 136 per cent compared with the previous year.

The main interest has been for direct admission degree courses at partner universities, which have doubled to 28,297, with growth from all world regions but there was a substantial increase of 241 per cent from South Asia, INTO said.

The Americas were the next largest growth region, with growth of 189 per cent in direct entry applications, followed by the Middle East and Africa (71), China/Hong Kong/Macau (58), Europe and Central Asia (46), and East Asia (31).
