Tracey McGee is a teaching professor at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL as well as director of English Language Services, the university’s English language programs. Her major responsibilities include program design, development, and administration for multiple programs serving IEP, pathway, undergraduate, and graduate multilingual students along with creating and implementing training for new teaching assistants. She has worked in the field of TESOL for over 15 years after earning her M.A. in Linguistics with a concentration in ESL from Northeastern Illinois University. Prior to graduate school, she spent two years living and working as a Peace Corps volunteer in the West African country of Niger, where she spoke the language of Zarma.
