Kathleen Hylen began her career with ELS Language Centers in 2005 as Center Director in Santa Monica for 6 years before transferring to the Berkeley center. After a year there she became the Director of Transitional Center Staffing where she and her internal team of ELS experts filled in at various centers across the country.

Most recently she led the reopening of the center in Chicago on the Dominican University campus. Kathleen holds a BA in Community Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a focus on Anti-Bias. She is also the recipient of the College VIII Humanitarian Award. She served in the Peace Corps as an English teacher in Moldova. Kathleen holds an MA in International Education Management with an emphasis on Diversity and Inclusion from Middlebury Institute of International Studies where she was a Paul D. Coverdell Peace Corps Fellow.
