1:00 PM - 2:00 PM (EDT)

Event Details

Webinar Info: This webinar presents the findings of a research study exploring the academic writing needs, habits, and abilities of university students in the current digital age. The study gathered and compared insights from 90 international students representing 25 different mother tongue backgrounds and 50 English for Academic Purposes (EAP) teachers from 20 universities. Drawing on these perspectives, the presenter will examine how language assessment can and should respond to the evolving needs of both students and institutions. Additionally, the session will illustrate how these findings are reflected in the design of the Trinity ISE Digital - an English language test tailored for university entry - highlighting its innovative approach to meeting contemporary academic challenges. The session will conclude with an open floor for collaborative discussion, inviting participants to share insights and contribute to the dialogue.
