Brett Blacker Executive Director, English Australia Brett Blacker is the Chief Executive Officer of English Australia. The national peak body for the English language teaching (known as ELICOS) sector in Australia. He has previously held a range of senior roles in international education including Director, International, Residential Services, Alumni, Careers and Employment Office, Murdoch University, and Director, International Office, the University of Newcastle. Brett has experience in the private sector where he was the General Manager: Health, Allianz, focused on overseas student health insurance. He was a long-standing Board member and past President of the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA). Brett has served on the Federal Council for International Education, and numerous Australian State/ Territory Boards focused on international education.
