Benjamin Brown Fraud Protection Officer, Bureau of Consular Affairs, Department of State Ben Brown is a Foreign Service Officer and serves as an analyst in CA's Office of Fraud Prevention Programs with the Analysis and Training Division (CA/FPP/ATD) in the Bureau of Consular Affairs in the U.S. State Department. He supports the integrity of the student, exchange visitor, and crewmember visa programs. Ben, a former language and ESL teacher, is a consular officer with 20+ years in the State Department. As a consular officer he has adjudicated visas overseas in South Africa, Honduras, Mexico and Japan. He has a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from UVA, a M.Ed. from W&M, and a M.S. in Strategic Planning from NDU.
