Ashley Micklos is the Curriculum Director at the Wisconsin ESL Institute (WESLI) in Madison, Wisconsin. She teaches upper-level skills courses, specializing in academic writing and public speaking, and facilitates WESLI’s TEFL certificate program for training English teachers. Ashley holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics, and has been teaching language courses for 15 years, including two years in the Netherlands. Her experiences with multilevel classes include single-course university academic writing and speaking, and pre-university combined upper-level skills courses. When not working, Ashley enjoys gardening and baking goods to share with colleagues.
